THE OEM PARTNER

One factory, the entire smart-glasses value chain

Original Equipment Manufacturing with CYNRIN means your product is built on our mature, audited platform — industrial design, electronics, optics, acoustics and firmware already proven in tens of thousands of shipped units — then branded, configured and packaged for your market. You avoid the 12–18 months and six-figure NRE exposure of a ground-up build, while retaining full control of brand, pricing and channel.

Every OEM program is run as a named project by a dedicated engineer and PM, with a controlled BOM, frozen golden samples, and inspection reports issued at every gate. Whether you are launching a first smart-audio frame or scaling a camera-glasses category, the same line, lab and quality system used for our reference products is placed behind your logo.

INSIDE THE FACTORY

Six production stages, one accountable supplier

Close-up of a smart glasses mainboard on an SMT line
Stage 01 — SMT & PCBA

High-density surface-mount electronics

Multi-layer mainboards and flex PCBs are printed on automated SMT lines with SPI solder inspection, AOI after reflow and 100% ICT/fixture verification. Bluetooth SoCs, MEMS microphones, camera modules, battery protection and touch controllers are placed in-house — never brokered to an unnamed board house.

Equipment
Multi-zone reflow, AOI, SPI, ICT fixtures
Components
BLE SoC, MEMS mic, camera MCU, PMU, sensors
Traceability
Reel lot codes recorded per production batch
Injection molding machines producing smart glasses frame parts
Stage 02 — Tooling & Injection

Precision frames, hinges and optical housings

TR90, PA12 and PC frame components are molded on precision tooling maintained in our partner mold shop, with first-article CMM inspection before mass production. Metal hinges, temple cores and camera windows are assembled to controlled tolerances so every unit closes, aligns and seats identically.

Materials
TR90, nylon, PC, aluminum, stainless hinges
Finish
Matte, soft-touch, sprayed, PVD or electroplated
Tooling life
Maintained for repeat orders across seasons
Technician assembling smart glasses electronics into a frame
Stage 03 — Assembly & Optical Alignment

Hands that have built every generation we ship

On the assembly line, PCBA, batteries, speakers, waveguides and camera modules are married to the frame under ESD-controlled workcells. Camera boresights, speaker sealing and temple-routing are fixture-aligned, and every unit receives a laser-engraved serial for full lifecycle traceability.

Process
ESD line, fixture alignment, torque control
Traceability
Laser serial per unit, batch-linked test data
Configurations
Audio, camera, AI-voice and hybrid SKUs
RF shielded chamber testing smart glasses Bluetooth performance
Stage 04 — RF, Audio & Optical Test

Shielded-lab verification on every batch

Units are validated in our RF shielded room for Bluetooth range and coexistence, on acoustic fixtures for mic/Speaker performance, and on optical benches for lens alignment, transmittance and camera geometry. Pre-scan results for CE/FCC/RoSH are captured before third-party labs issue certificates under your brand.

RF lab
Shielded chamber, range & coexistence test
Audio
MIC sensitivity, leakage, speaker SPL curves
Optics
Alignment, transmittance, polarization, UV400
Aging racks with rows of smart glasses undergoing burn-in testing
Stage 05 — Aging & Reliability

Burn-in before your customer unboxes

Every production lot passes power-cycle aging on controlled racks, plus hinge cycling, drop, sweat, temperature/humidity and cable-flex testing per the reliability test plan signed off at NPI. Failures are RMA-coded back to the station, not the customer.

Capabilities brands usually have to source separately

These are not rented facilities for a photo opportunity — they are the same labs and stations that de-risk your program from first article to fourth reorder.

Engineers reviewing smart glasses CAD drawings and BOM
DFM

Design for Manufacturing review

Our ME/EE team red-lines your CAD and BOM for tolerance, assembly sequence and cost before tooling is cut — typically returning the first DFM report within five working days.

Optical bench measuring lens alignment and light transmittance
Optics

Optical & lens engineering

Polarized, photochromic, prescription-ready and prescription-insert programs are validated on-bench for geometry, UV400 and optical-grade transmittance.

3D printed smart glasses prototypes on an engineering workbench
NPI

Rapid prototyping

3D-printed appearance models, CNC mockups and functional PCBA builds compress concept-to-hold decision cycles to days, not weeks.

Custom retail packaging for branded smart glasses
Packaging

Packaging & unboxing design

Structural design, dieline files, sleeve art direction, accessory kits and ISTA-style drop validation — retail-ready for Apple-style shelves or Amazon FBA cartons.

Finished smart glasses cartons organized in warehouse racking
Supply

Inventory & reorder velocity

Forecast-buffered raw material and finished-goods staging support 4–6 week reorder cycles and seasonal spikes without re-negotiating the program.

Labeled export cartons prepared for international freight
Compliance

Compliance documentation

CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH and battery-transport dossiers are prepared with the third-party labs, in your brand name, so retail onboarding does not stall.

HOW AN OEM PROGRAM RUNS

From RFQ to reorder in five controlled phases

Each phase has defined inputs, deliverables and sign-offs. You always know which gate the program is sitting at, what is owed from us, and what is owed from you.

1. RFQ & DFM

Share drawings, a reference model or just a product brief. Within five working days you receive an itemized quotation, BOM direction, MOQ and tooling/NRE schedule.

2. Samples & golden sample

Engineering and branded samples are built and tested; you sign and seal one golden sample that becomes the mass-production master standard.

3. Tooling & pilot run

Tooling is finalized and a pilot run validates yields, cycle times and packing before any bulk deposit moves.

4. Mass production & QC

SMT, assembly, aging and AQL inspection proceed with mid-line and final inspection reports shared before shipment release.

5. Shipment & reorder

Goods ship under the agreed Incoterm with full documents; the BOM, tooling and fixtures remain alive for fast, low-friction reorders.

OEM FAQ

Questions procurement teams ask before issuing a PO

What is the difference between OEM and ODM at CYNRIN?
OEM builds your brand on our proven manufacturing platform and reference designs. ODM goes further: our industrial-design and engineering teams co-develop a differentiated product — new ID, optical or acoustic architecture, custom PCBA — to your specification. Many flagship programs begin as OEM and migrate to ODM for the second generation. See the ODM services page.
Can I visit and audit the factory before ordering?
Yes, and we encourage it. Most brand and retail customers run an on-site or third-party audit (SGS, BV, TUV style) before tooling release. We can host you at our Shenzhen facility or arrange a live video factory tour covering SMT, assembly, aging and packing lines.
Who owns the tooling if I pay for it?
Tooling and custom fixtures paid by the customer remain the customer’s exclusive property, are tagged and stored in our mold shop, and are never used for another buyer. Upon written request at end of program we will return or formally dispose of them with photo evidence.
Do you support Amazon FBA and DDP shipping?
Yes. We carton and label to FBA specification, prepare battery MSDS and UN38.3 documents, and ship FOB Shenzhen, CIF or DDP through our forwarders or yours. Details are on the shipping & logistics page.
What warranty do OEM customers receive?
Standard defective-rate allowance and a 12-month product warranty are built into the OEM contract, with spare-unit or spare-parts allowance per shipment. Extended terms and onboarding support for your support team are available for retail programs — see warranty policy.
