COMMERCIAL TERMS

Payment Terms Built for Repeat Production, Not One-Off Deals

Standard terms for smart glasses OEM/ODM programs are 30% T/T deposit with 70% before shipment, samples 100% prepaid, and tooling or NRE charged as project milestones. Everything is invoiced in USD on a proforma that names the exact goods, milestones and company bank account — so finance teams and procurement controls have a clean paper trail.

STANDARD TERMS

30/70 for production, 100% for samples, milestones for tooling

Milestone payments mirror the risk structure of electronics manufacturing: the deposit commits materials and line capacity, while the balance releases against completed, inspected goods — before they leave our dock.

First-order terms vs established-partner terms

Trust is earned through purchase history, not asserted in the first email. The framework below is the starting position; deviations are written into the sales contract and reviewed annually.

First order / new customer
Established repeat partner
Production payment
30% deposit, 70% before shipment
30/70 standard; limited post-shipment credit possible
Tooling & NRE
100% up front or 50/50 milestones
50/50 or amortization into unit price
Document release
After balance clears; telex release on FOB/CIF
Can accompany shipment window under agreed terms
Capacity reservation
On deposit clearance
Against rolling forecast, before deposit seasonally
Large-program L/C
Available by case for qualifying values
Routine for 20,000+ unit / multi-shipment programs

"Before shipment" means the balance is settled after goods pass final AQL inspection and before the bill of lading is released — buyers typically receive the inspection report, packing photos and shipment schedule with the balance invoice. This is the same sequence described on the shipping & logistics page.

PAYMENT METHODS

Three rails, matched to order size

Method follows value and risk: fast low-fee rails for samples, bank transfer for production, documentary credit for large programs.

Production default

T/T bank wire transfer

Telegraphic transfer in USD to the named Shenzhen Kingring Technology Co., Ltd. company account. Standard for deposits, balances and tooling; bank charges outside China are borne by the payer under OUR/SHA conventions stated on the PI. One to three banking days to clear.

Samples & small lots

PayPal and Wise

Accepted for sample fees and small-value accessory orders where speed matters more than fee: funds confirm in hours and the sample build starts immediately. Platform fees are included transparently in the sample proforma rather than hidden in unit pricing.

Large programs

L/C at sight

Irrevocable letters of credit at sight issued by a first-class bank are considered for substantial programs (typically large container volumes or multi-shipment frameworks). Terms, documents list and discrepancy handling are agreed before L/C opening so presentation is clean.

Western Union, personal-account transfers and cryptocurrency are never accepted. The full verification rule is in the security section below.

TOOLING & NRE

Why tooling is invoiced separately — and how to spread it

Non-recurring engineering covers one-off work: mold design and steel for custom frames, custom PCBA layout and bring-up, test fixtures, custom packaging dielines and certification in your brand name. These costs exist once, regardless of order size, so quoting them separately keeps unit prices honest.

Tooling is billed either 100% before mold cutting for straightforward programs or on a 50/50 milestone — half at kick-off, half at T1 sample approval. Tooling you fund is your exclusive property: tagged, stored in our mold shop and never run for another buyer.

For partners who prefer zero visible NRE, fees can be amortized into the unit price across a contracted volume (for example spread over the first 10,000 units with a stated amortization schedule). The trade-off is a higher unit price until amortization completes; we present both options on the quotation.

THE PROFORMA

What every CYNRIN invoice contains

Your accounts-payable team should never have to ask what an invoice refers to. Each proforma invoice (PI) and commercial invoice is self-contained.

01

Parties and currency

Full legal names — Shenzhen Kingring Technology Co., Ltd. as seller, your registered entity as buyer — plus USD currency, PI number, date and validity period (usually 15–30 days).

02

Goods and specification

Model codes, colors, firmware configuration, packaging type, unit quantities and the linked quotation/contract; MOQ and tier are visible at line level.

03

Prices and trade term

Unit price, extended totals, Incoterm (EXW/FOB Shenzhen/CIF/DDP), and an explicit split of what is included — freight, insurance, duties — so no charge appears late.

04

Milestones and accounts

Deposit/balance amounts with due dates, banking coordinates to the verified company account, and document-release conditions for the balance.

05

Schedule and references

Sample approval reference (golden sample serial), planned ship date, HS code and country of origin, tying finance records to the project file.

06

Commercial invoice alignment

The post-shipment commercial invoice mirrors the PI values; PI, packing list, B/L and invoice never contradict each other at customs.

For internal budgeting before the PI, the quotation response already states the same price structure, so the formal invoice never re-opens commercial negotiation.

PAYMENT SECURITY

One company account, verified through one channel

Payment fraud in China manufacturing almost always follows the same script: an email look-alike announces "updated bank details". Our counter-rule is deliberately rigid.

  • Funds go only to a bank account in the name Shenzhen Kingring Technology Co., Ltd. — never to a personal name, agent or "supplier" entity.
  • Treat any message claiming changed bank details as fraud until re-verified with your known contact by a previously used channel.
  • Verify account details via [email protected] and, for high-value transfers, a video call or phone number used earlier in the project — not numbers in the suspicious email.
  • CYNRIN does not request crypto, gift cards or emergency transfers to "couriers" or "customs agents".
  • Banking coordinates are issued on documents quoting your PI number and order contents; generic payment emails are not instructions.

CREDIT & LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIPS

How open-account terms are actually earned

Credit is a commercial decision, not a marketing promise. The path to more flexible terms is documented and equal for every customer.

First orders

Strict 30/70 against inspection — both sides learn how the other performs paperwork and schedules.

Repeat history

After several cleanly completed POs, terms are reviewed annually against volume, payment punctuality and forecast quality.

Framework agreement

Established partners can move to a master agreement with periodic settlement windows and rolling-forecast capacity hold.

Trade assurance

Where useful, documentary L/C or credit-insurance-backed structures give both parties security without renegotiating unit prices.

Settlement is always USD unless a bilateral currency arrangement is signed in the contract. Warranty deposits and spare-parts allowances are agreed separately and documented on the warranty policy page.

PAYMENT FAQ

What finance teams ask before releasing the deposit

What are your standard payment terms for OEM production?
30% T/T deposit when the proforma invoice is confirmed, and 70% balance before shipment after goods pass final AQL inspection. The deposit commits materials and production capacity; the balance releases the cargo and documents (telex or original B/L as agreed). Samples, spare parts and small accessory orders are 100% prepaid. All invoicing is in USD.
Can I pay after the goods arrive instead of before shipment?
Not on first orders, because goods carry customer-specific branding and cannot be resold. Established partners with several completed, punctually paid POs can be reviewed for limited post-shipment settlement windows under a framework agreement. A bank L/C at sight is the alternative for buyers who want documents-controlled payment on large programs.
Do you accept PayPal, Wise or credit cards?
PayPal and Wise are accepted for samples and small-value orders where their speed is worth the platform fee; the fee is shown on the sample PI. Production invoices, tooling and NRE are settled by T/T bank transfer in USD to the company account, and large programs can use an irrevocable L/C at sight. Credit-card rails are not offered for production amounts.
How is tooling or NRE invoiced?
One-off work is separate from unit pricing: either 100% before mold cutting begins, or a 50/50 split at project kick-off and T1 sample approval. Customer-funded tooling remains the customer’s exclusive property, tagged and stored separately. If you prefer no upfront NRE line, fees can instead be amortized into the unit price across a contracted volume — both options appear on the quotation.
What does "70% before shipment" protect me from?
You pay the balance only after the final AQL inspection report, packing photos and shipment schedule are shared, but before the bill of lading is released — so you are not paying for unseen goods, and the factory is not releasing branded cargo without payment. Under FOB/CIF the B/L is released when funds clear; under DDP or negotiated credit terms the sequence is defined in the contract. See the shipping page for the document flow.
How do I verify I am paying the real CYNRIN company account?
Only ever transfer to an account named Shenzhen Kingring Technology Co., Ltd., on banking coordinates attached to a PI that carries your order details. Any email about changed bank details must be re-verified through [email protected] and a previously known phone or video channel. We never request payments to personal accounts, agents, crypto wallets or via gift cards — treat any such request as fraud and alert us immediately.
