SUSTAINABILITY & ESG

Sustainability, Engineered Into the Production System

For an electronics manufacturer, sustainability is not a campaign page — it is restricted-substance control, battery discipline, supplier standards, safer workplaces and products that stay in service. Here is exactly where CYNRIN stands.

OUR POSITION

Commitments we can operationally defend

CYNRIN is the smart-glasses manufacturing brand of Shenzhen Kingring Technology Co., Ltd. We deliberately make directional commitments rather than publish percentages we cannot independently verify. Our environmental and social work is concentrated where a manufacturer of audio, camera and AI smart glasses has real leverage: material compliance, supplier expectations, product longevity and workplace safety.

Programs are governed by the factory’s ISO 9001 quality management system, because environmental controls that exist outside documented procedures do not survive a busy production season. Brand customers can request current compliance documentation through their account manager as part of vendor onboarding.

ENVIRONMENT

Energy, e-waste and packaging

Three programs run continuously rather than annually. None is presented as finished work.

Rooftop solar installation at an industrial site connected to CYNRIN operations
Program 01 — Energy

Energy efficiency and on-site solar where available

SMT reflow ovens and aging racks are the facility’s significant loads, so production scheduling and equipment maintenance focus first on efficient operation. Where our own and partner industrial sites support it, rooftop solar contributes to daytime electricity supply; we do not claim a site-wide renewable percentage we cannot meter.

Focus
Scheduling efficiency, load management, solar where supported
Verification
Facility metering and maintenance records
Segregated electronic waste and battery recycling containers at the factory
Program 02 — E-waste

Recycling streams for boards, batteries and prototypes

PCBA off-cuts, engineering prototypes and battery rejects are segregated on site and handled through qualified downstream recyclers rather than general waste. Incoming reel and tray materials are reused in production where ESD-safe conditions allow. Customer programs can align return-and-recycle instructions for end-of-life units with their after-sales process.

Streams
PCBA scrap, batteries, prototypes, packaging
Handling
Segregated storage, qualified recyclers
Right-sized smart glasses retail packaging and carton materials
Program 03 — Packaging

Reduced materials, FSC board as an option

Packaging engineering starts from structural efficiency: right-sized boxes, fewer insert materials and recycled-pulp options reduce both material use and air freighted. Brand programs may select FSC-certified carton board and soy-based inks, and we design against ISTA-style drop tests so reduced packaging does not become damage rates.

Options
FSC board, pulp inserts, minimized plastics
Validation
Drop testing before material changes
RESPONSIBLE SOURCING

Expectations that travel down the BOM

01

Supplier code of conduct

Key component, battery and packaging vendors operate under our supplier code, covering restricted substances, labor practice, working hours, workplace safety and environmental management. New vendors are screened before qualification.

02

Conflict-minerals statement

We expect suppliers of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold to source from responsible channels and to support reasonable due-diligence inquiries from brand customers preparing their own disclosure.

03

Battery handling

Lithium-polymer cells are procured from qualified suppliers, stored under controlled conditions, and shipped with UN38.3 summaries and MSDS — see shipping & logistics.

04

Vendor audits

Incoming-material inspection is paired with periodic vendor audits and corrective-action requests; high-risk categories such as cells and optical film receive priority review.

05

Chemical compliance

RoHS and REACH documentation is maintained for current platforms, including test reports and supplier declarations available during customer vendor onboarding.

06

Continuous qualification

Vendor performance on quality, delivery and compliance feeds re-qualification; repeated failures remove a supplier from the approved list regardless of price.

PEOPLE & WORKPLACE

Safety and fairness on a live production floor

  • ESD and machine safety — controlled workcells, machine guarding, safety training and PPE requirements across SMT, assembly, injection and aging areas.
  • Chemical management — controlled storage and handling for soldering, cleaning and finishing materials, with ventilation and exposure controls.
  • Documented employment — written contracts, structured working hours and social-insurance coverage in line with Shenzhen labor regulations.
  • Skills progression — operator certification, multi-station training and engineer career paths described on the careers page.
  • Worker communication — daily line meetings and quality-feedback channels so defects and hazards are raised at the station, not after shipment.
PRODUCT LONGEVITY

The most sustainable unit is the one still in use

Durable hardware, repairability and firmware maintenance matter more than end-of-life gestures. These are the concrete commitments behind every branded program.

GOVERNANCE & DOCUMENTS

Policies, certifications and verification

01

Quality system

ISO 9001-certified quality management underpins documentation, traceability, corrective actions and vendor control. Certification scope: certifications.

02

Compliance dossiers

CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH and battery-transport documentation are prepared with third-party labs, in the customer’s brand name where applicable.

03

Data and privacy

Where smart glasses and companion apps process user data, contractual and product requirements follow our public privacy policy.

04

Commercial terms

Supplier responsibilities, IP handling and warranty terms are defined contractually; see terms of service.

05

Customer audits

Brand and retail customers may audit the facility directly or through SGS/TUV/BV-style third parties before tooling release.

06

Reporting

Targeted ESG information for vendor onboarding is provided per request; we do not publish unverified aggregate footprint figures.

ESG FAQ

Sustainability questions from procurement and compliance teams

Do your smart glasses comply with RoHS and REACH?
Current reference platforms are supported with RoHS and REACH documentation, including supplier declarations and test reports. For branded programs we compile the compliance dossier in your brand name as part of market-access preparation. See the certifications page.
Can we order FSC-certified or plastic-reduced packaging?
Yes. FSC-certified carton board, pulp-fiber inserts, right-sized structures and reduced accessory plastics are available as program options. Every material reduction is validated against drop testing so transit protection is preserved.
How are lithium-polymer batteries handled and shipped?
Cells come from qualified suppliers with controlled storage and assembly conditions, and export shipments include UN38.3 summaries and MSDS. We support FOB, CIF and DDP logistics, including FBA preparation, described on the shipping page.
Can our brand run a take-back or repair program with you?
Yes. We can supply service documentation, spare parts and modular assembly support so your repair partner can fix units, and cooperate with return-and-recycle flows for end-of-life devices. These terms are defined in the program contract alongside the standard 12-month warranty.
Can we audit environmental and labor practices before ordering?
Absolutely. Customers may visit the Shenzhen facility directly or commission third-party audits before tooling release. We also provide available compliance and vendor documentation through your account manager during onboarding.

Need ESG documentation for vendor onboarding?

Tell us which standards your retail or compliance team requires; your account manager assembles the available dossier.
